Nathan Goldstone is a PhD candidate in Harvard University's Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. His dissertation, "Reframing Russophone Fiction: Reflections of Nation, Land, and Self," focuses on late Soviet and post-Soviet fictional narratives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. His essay "The Russophone Novel: Past, Present, and Uncertain Future" will appear in the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of the Russian Novel. Currently, he is researching anti-nuclear fiction narratives related to the Nevada-Semipalatinsk movement.
