Juliane Fürst is the Leibniz Professor of Contemporary History at CEU in Vienna and head of the department 'Communism and Society' at the Center of Contemporary History, ZZF, Potsdam. She is the author of Flowers through Concrete: Explorations in the Soviet Hippieland (Oxford UP, 2021) and Stalin's Last Generation: Soviet Post-War Youth and the Emergence of Mature Socialism (Oxford UP, 2010).
