Dmitrii Blyshko is a PhD candidate at the University of Houston, specializing in the history of science, particularly the history of archaeology. He graduated with honors from Petrozavodsk State University, Russia, in 2011, earning a Specialist degree in History. Subsequently, he completed a Master's in Anthropology and Ethnology at the European University in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2013. He has been engaged in archaeological endeavors in Northwestern Russia since 2006. Dmitrii's current research project centers on the anti-imperialist activism of the Soviet Marxist archaeologists.
